How to generate your employee engagement report

Complete the structured survey, add optional context, generate a free score summary or premium AI analysis, review premium trend history over time, and download the completed output as a PDF.

What you need before starting

All engagement questions

Each question comes from the Excel workbook and uses a 1 to 5 agreement scale. The app requires every current question so the engagement dimensions can be interpreted together.

Sign-in

Sign in to complete the assessment. Free users receive a basic score summary, while premium users receive the deeper AI coaching report and completed-survey trend history.

Step-by-step process

Open the app and sign in

Use Open app from the home page. If prompted, sign in to access the survey.

Add optional context

Enter your organization, role, team, leader, and any work context you want the report to consider.

Answer the survey

Respond to every engagement question using the 1 to 5 scale, where 1 is Strongly Disagree and 5 is Strongly Agree.

Generate your output

Free users can generate a basic score summary. Premium users can generate the full AI report, which streams into the report panel while the request is running.

Review the guidance

Read the engagement level summary, strongest signals, strain signals, leader interpretation, conversation guidance, and action plan.

Review premium trends

After each completed premium report, the survey results are saved to your account database for the premium Engagement Trending page. Trend insights become available after your second completed premium survey.

Copy or download

Copy the Markdown report or download the completed analysis as a formatted PDF.

Optional inputs that improve results

  • Organization, role, department, and leader name help the report use more relevant language.
  • Work context can include recent change, workload, team dynamics, schedule pressure, or anything affecting your experience.
  • Reflection notes can include what is working, what feels strained, and what you want from the next leader conversation.
  • The optional notes are included in the AI prompt only when you generate the report.

Best practices

  • Answer based on your current experience, not what you think the ideal answer should be.
  • Use optional context to explain circumstances the scores alone cannot show.
  • Review low-scoring dimensions as conversation topics, not accusations.
  • Before meeting with a leader, choose two or three specific examples and one practical request.
  • Use the premium trends page after multiple surveys to separate one-time noise from repeated engagement patterns.
  • Keep the PDF private unless you intentionally decide to share it.

Premium trend guidance

Premium survey results are stored in the account database after each completed premium report. The Engagement Trending page shows score movement over time and asks OpenAI to summarize observed trends once at least two premium surveys have been completed.
